Gaming Computer

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a gaming computer in the near future and I am looking for some advice. I built a gaming computer a couple years ago and loved it but i just dont have the patience or interest to do another one. I dont want to spend any more that $2,000. For me that should be plenty of system to handle todays games. I was poking around on the net and saw that Gateway has a decent system for $1,699 (FX530) monitor and sound system included. However, Im not sure if the ram and motherboard would be any good. I also understand that there are a million websites as well as ebay trying to sell computers but there are so many scams now days that I am unsure if I should take the chance. Please let me know what you think I should do or consider.

Thanks a ton.

Although you're looking for a gaming rig, I think this belongs in the Hardware forum. So, I'll move it there for further discussion.

We want to specifically discuss games in this forum.

Carry on....
