Athlon 64 3500+ to Opteron 185 Denmark 2.6GHz?

hi guys,I am thinking upgrade to last 939 cpu :Opteron 185 Denmark 2.6GHz from my 64 3500+,mostly i do is gaming,i got a 8800gts 640mb and 3G ram,just wondering that upgrade can make a huge improvement for fps or no,i play collin mcrea dirt ,it has 10-14 fps in multi car race!! =( ,and bioshock around 40 ,fighting = 15-20.all new games doesn't run smooth, plz let me know,thankyou.

I'd say that you would see a pretty healthy boost in performance going to a dual core cpu, plus that Opty probably can be overclocked a fair share to increase its performance even more.

I went from a 2.4 GHz Athlon 64 to a 2.8 GHz Athlon X2, made a pretty big difference.

like if a game run 20 fps in 3500+ ,what it will increase to ? 25?30?40? or...
