Why is it Beeping!?!?!
|
can this even happen (north bridge temp issue)
I was wondering if theres a possibility that a NB temp monitor (internal of course) can read horribly wrong or malfunction?
My NB says that its basically always hot.....however i recently purchased a thermalright NB cooler (SLI edition) and it has been cold to the touch since install but my NB is supposedly at 55C on idle according to PC probe and BIOS![]() .......help

Yes, I don't really on internal temp monitors too much, only as a general guideline. Did the temp go down after installing the Thermalright cooler?

not really.....im still idling at around 53C according to PC probe
also, I am seeing erratic temp jumps ex: 53 to 45 to 60 back to 50 etc all within 10 seconds

using internal windows monitors are completely unreliable... so much so that i usually tell most people to completely ignore the values....
if you want a more reliable reading, use the bios.. but even then.. they can be completely wrong.. best method... your own temp monitors and multimeter readings

If the cooler feels cool to the touch all the time and the cooler and chip are making good contact and there is a good amount of thermal paste in there... don't sweat it, cause your NB ain't sweating either
