anyone know about video conference?

Let's lay this down. I do AV installs and what not as a side job. Today, a client wants to know if i can do a video conference setup for him in this conference room

. Now I'm far from an expert in that field and i really need to know if anyone knows anything about it. Mostly what cameras/mics to use. Its going to be a two camera setup. One cam is going to need to pan and zoom etc while the other one will stay stationary. It all gets hooked thorugh a computer and the software which allows them to communicate with their other branches. In any case is there anyone that knows about webcams and such enough to give some advise

the two cameras will be mounted on the ceiling and overlook a table where they hold their meetings

You might look for logitech's webcams some of them haves pan and zoom. What software you are planing to use?

I'm not exactly sure what software they are going to use. They apparently already have what they are going to use....but i have not yet gotten to demo it

well, I would say it could be CuSeeMe, I've used that in the past when I was volunteer worker at local science center. They used that some times in exhibitions just to demo internet's features. But that was back 1996-97

you're probably right....I probably won't get to demo the software until they get it licensed. He better give me a copy prior to installation so i know what I'm doing

If this is something your doing quick I suggest a free trail of Acrobat Conferencing here is a link. Its simple and the only thing the end users need is Flash player and web cams. I have this and I do conferencing with clients from time to time and collaborating with other designers.
