If you're talking about ripping them to your HD... I use DVD Decryptor. It's free, and it works great.

I have no clue then. I'm not one of the fortunate people that have a DVD-RW drive.

I don't have one either. My friend asked me what was the best program for this, he didn't want to go out and spend $100 on a program that dosen't work.

DVD decypter http://www.dvddecrypter.com/download.asp and then use something like virtual dub with DIVX codecs to convert.

of course this is for backup purposes only !

EDIT: I see DVD to DVD copy, no idea, sorry, Nero does something along those lines, but im not sure if it handles protected discs.

you might need to extract first to VOB from DVD decypter to your HD then burn in NERO.

Sounds too complecated...my friend isn't exactly computer-literate -- He need an easy all-in-one interface.

He wants to make DVD-to-DVD Zardon... Um, I think there's the program called "DVD X COPY". You can even find it at bestbuy. I dunno what they do about copyrighted movies though...

It still copies them just there is this copyright thing that in inserted to the burnt DVD. I've been looking into this myself because I'm thinking about picking up the DRU-510X(?) when it comes out next month.

Update: If memory serves me right Pinnacle 8.5 is good too.

The only thing about DVD X COPY is that it will make one original DVD disc into 2 discs.
