First 2 larger projects, please comment

So, I am doing my first big custom computer project for both myself and my wife. I am on a strict budget (so far total is ~1300 and can't really go much higher at all) so keeping that in mind I wondered how you all felt about everything /compatibility/performance.

Comp 1 setup:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail

MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-P31-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P31 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Memory: OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

GFX: EVGA GForce 8800GT 512mb

HDD: Western Digital Caviar RE WD2500YS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

PSU: Thermaltake W0093RU ATX 12V 2.0 Version 500W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CUL, TUV, FCC, and CB - Retail

Case: XCLIO A380PLUS-BK Fully Black High Gloss Finish 1.0mm SECC/ ABS ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Retail

Comp 2 setup:

CPU: SAME AS ABOVE

MoBo: SAME AS ABOVE

MEM: SAME AS ABOVE

GFX: EVGA GForce 8600GT 256MB

HDD: ReUse

PSU: ReUse

Sound: Creative Sound Blaster SB0570 Audigy SE 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail

Case: Linkworld B319-C9928-P4 WNDW Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply - Retail (hey, she picked it! lol)

Definately budget, but I also wanted to keep things upgradeable. Also, anyone know where I may find the first EVGA card in stock and ~ $250US?

Thanks for any and all input!

I am glad it looks good, would hate to screw this up lol.

As for the EVGA thing, where are good places to shop? Right now I really only know and use Newegg and ZipZoomFly.

Also, any tips when I am putting the computer together, such as flashing my bios right away sort of tips. Like I said, this is my first real project...gotta learn sometime
