A new graphic benchmark: Rightmark3D

Now this is an idea who's time is LOOONG overdue, an opensource graphics benchmark! No more arguing about how the test is doing what, you can actually find out now.

They just released the first beta of their 3D benchmark, I want EVERYONE to download it and support it's development on their forums!!!!

C'mon, we've got the hardware to help and we're all gonna be a LOT better off with an open source benchmark!

Please take a second and at least check them out at their site here.

(I'm downloading the benchy now, if it sucks I'm gonna REALLY feel like an idiot...I just think it's a really, really, REALLY good idea to have another 3D benchmark that is a bit more upfront about how they do things.

for me it doesn't run, but ok, i've just got a geforce2, maybe that's the problem

As far as i know it's DX9 only.

Yeah, "My Rightmark3D is bigger than yours" will be SO different...

That would make it utterly useless, since it will be a long time (at least one year) until actual DX9 stuff comes out...

What use would I have for a DX9 benchmark? Aargh!

I'm still using 3Dmark 2001 and it's the most accurate benchmark considering the games being played right now. I don't need an up to date, technological advanced DX9 benchmark when there are no true DX9 games in sight...

i agree too, while i was on holiday my brother decided to install dx9 on my gf4 system. He didnt understand why that was a mistake :|

I installed DX9 on my GF4 system as well, and it works absolutely flawless!
