Best 120mm fan?
I need two case fans.
Criteria: a) Noise b) Cooling I'm currently looking at the Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E...

Scythe S-Flex's, SilverStone FM 121/123 are good fans.
but i prefer using thermaltake smart case fan II and smart case fan blue LED, they are work very well enough (but thay are loud at high RPM), some good connections and a fan controller are included, and low cost. |

I'll probably go with the S-Flex as db:cfm ratio appears better.
But this brings me to another question. If I have a more powerful 120mm intake than exhaust creating negative pressure would that result in cooler temps as the warm air would get forced out due to equalization? Also lest dust I assume...

I live by 120mm Yate Loon D12SL-12. Generally $3-$5 each if you look around. And are some of the quietest fans around.

so you may need a few case fans that have fan controller on them, so that you are able to try different fan speed settings on both intake and exhaust fans, also try having one to blow northbridge and RAM. |

Yeah I've already got a fan blowing down accross the RAM and onto the nb. I'm ordering the Ultra extreme 120 today and thought I would improve the case cooling at the same time. CPU and RAM should be burnt in by now to start overclocking but want to make everything cool first.

i have 6 120mm s flex fans in my case & they make less noise than the 4 80mm fans in my wifes case - & her case is under her desk while mine is sitting on top, 1 foot to the left of my monitor.
