exclamation Ordered some new CPU's, Now which heatsink do I use

I just ordered 2 cpu for my server (Thunder K7 non $¢$!) Athlon MP 2600's Retail. Now do I use the one supplied, Thermaltake Volcano 6Cu+'s that I used for my 1900+'s, or Do I need to order different Heatsinks all together.

Best air cooler you can get is an SLK800. But it's 35$ just for the heat sink.

Get an Arctic Cooling Copper Silent - quite inexpensive, very silent and it still has good cooling for my XP 2600+

Any heatsink can be silent.... You just need a quite or silent fan on it....

Yes, but with a silent fan, their heat dissipation will often be quite disappointing... especially if it's a 60mm heat sink (which is the vast majority), and you take a *really* silent fan (around 20dB), the air flow will be *really* poor

You can use heatsinks supplied with them.

Or TT Volcano 6cu+ is also cool. Better than supplied with Amd Retail. And if you want to make it silent, screw an 80mm fan to it. That is exactly my cooling system for TB 1333mhz (one hot CPU, Volcano chills it pretty well).

Or may be wise to order whole new coolers. TT has pretty good coolers and prices are also pretty low.

the best air cooler is actually the SLK900, SLK800 is the older less expensive model
