Damn, dude, calm down... This was only posted for like 10 seconds.... You saw a triple display for Quake III is what I am betting.

How the heck? Are they all on one PC? can't be... on several PC's? but a game can't run on more than one PC? can it??

interesting picture. looks like a flight sim running 6 or more different POVs which would be impossible for a single PC to run even with multiple video cards etc, and yet 5 or 6 pcs under the desk......
not so sure about the books under some of the monitors, what a mess !!!

seen 8 monitors in a row
I think this artist in town did some animation with 8 monitors, but I think they were all Matrox cards in the mobos, wasn't complicated it seemed and I don't know what OS he was using, seems it was something he wrote himself, I tried to duplicate it myself using the company stuff, without success...

Perhaps it is a couple PC's running separate games, and each using a diff POV, and he's just set the monitors up to look as if it's one game
![]() This is the most monitors I've seen running on one game (one PC):

2 monitors, yeah ok. Aything more than 2 and you officialy have to much money and no life in which to spend it wisely. Whoever owns that 11 monitor setup is a totaly recluse and only goes outside to buy his porn and lube to wack off cause he aint getting any EVER!

Not necessarily. Those machines don't have to be incredibly high end to render a flight sim.
I remember using three machines to do surround Doom. You'd set the main machine up normally. Machine #2 would be left side, you'd set the FOV to show the left view, and you'd make it a spectator to the first box. You'd then do the same, in reverse, to the right side one. Since it was simple software rendering to begin with, it wasn't too hard to rustle up two PCs to do nothing but spectate... The main machine took most of the load. Having an extra wide FOV made me a much better player. It's hard to sneak up on someone when he has peripheral vision and you don't. A similar method can be used for UT (1, not 2K3), but you have to use software rendering. I know the guy that UT screenshot came from. It was pretty much playable. Quake 3 has the FOV and aspect ratio settings to spread out across multiple monitors, but they have to be all on one machine, since it has no software renderer. To do more than two monitors for something more taxing, like a current FPS, would be much more difficult and time/money consuming.
