cpu and operating system ?
i got a computer from a friend.. p4 2.8/ht 800 mhz..p4c800 asus mb.. my question is will the xp 64 pro run on it? ive been searching and cant find any deffiniant answers, im not sure if the bios supports Intel 64 or not or the chip for that matter. ty

The P4C800 doesn't support 64bit CPUs, XP 64bit won't work on it. The fastest you can get for this board is P4 3.4 GHz Extreme Edition.

P4 2.8 was a 32 bit chip, so no it won't run xp64, turn it into a linux box if you have another gaming machine, always nice to have something new to play with.
