Output sound to tv?

A friend of mine wants to output sound from his computer to his television and we can't seem to find much information on how to do this. Is there a card that is capable of doing this? or possibly some sort of adapters?

Get a stereo minijack to RCA plugs, thats all you need, you can get it from Radio shack or Good Guys or Best Buy, almost any electronics store. Just plug one end (Minijack) to your computers Speaker or line out and the RCA jacks into the TVs line in

Or if he has a sound card capable of more then one channel.......just connect it to that with the mini to rca like scoby said. Or go to radio shack and buy some ends and run you own.
