Looking to build a new pc

This summer I will be working a lot and I plan on saving up some money to build a nice pc. Since I've built my first, many things have changed and I figured I'd ask the best. What do you think will be the best things to buy in a in maybe AUG or SEPT? I know some things will probably come out, but I just want a few ideas if anyone has any. I'm looking to build a really fast gaming pc, but also not really, really expensive. My first build is from the dual core days and all these new parts I have no idea how to install, use, or even what some do. Any ideas, or is it to early to say?

ps. I love the forum colors.

first give us the budget as i dont wanna be accidentally recommending something too expensive for you.
