just got F4b BIOS,
somehow this BETA BIOS seems to fix the DPC latency issue in other OS, but not in Vista, i also ran the check in Vista just a while ago and it has not yet improved. ![]()

both screenshots were from Server 2008,

the first one when the computer in idle states, the second one during some loads. for mine there is no change in Vista from using F3, F4a to F4b, still some spikes, but no red ones. |

in F4b there are some yellow 's yes. like 1010-1015, haven't seen it above that yet.
for mine F4a was a bit better in Vista. for F4b, you may not be able to change the core voltage (just like in F13B BIOS in the P35-DS4) after the BIOS flashed and you loaded BIOS default after that. |

here's in Vista and during full load.
![]() btw, i'm not sure why some of the systems have so much problem with this. i did see one X38-DQ6 user at the other forum, who has gotten the red spikes all the way up to 16000 in Vista all the time when he's only surfing the net or something. i don't think i've seen a red one since F3 BIOS (that comes with this board). and i've been flashing BIOS 5 times already, lol.
