Buying HDTV

Hey guys,

I'm buying my first HDTV and have decided on the Samsung LN46A650. I've gone to look at them in stores and have done a fair amount of research. My question is to those that have owned this TV.
Two things I'm concerned about are overheating and the frame of the TV. I've heard that this TV can overheat and currently I live in a very small apartment where the living room has no AC and gets very hot now. I will be moving in Sept, but would obviously like to use the TV before then, but not at the risk of damaging it.
My other question is about the frame being glued on instead of screwed on. I've talked to a sales associate about it, asking if anyone has complained of issues, but he had not heard anything. The 7 series has theirs screwed on versus the 6 series having it glued. I'm curious if any of you have heard or experienced the glue coming undone.
Thanks for any help or insight you can give to a soon-to-be HDTV owner.

Mmm, heat and glue=good for health.

Joking aside, how hot can it get? My PC makes enough heat that in the small room I am in now I have to turn on the AC more often than I would every hour or so.

No I don't own one, but I imagine if there is enough ventilation it should fine. How hot does it get there? If it's hot enough to make the frame come undone you have bigger issues.

Well, today it was around 100 F, and the living room was probably around 90ish.

Bluemak, my PC heats my room in the winter as well, saves me from turning on the heat, but in the summer I definitely have to run the AC more as well.

Necrosis, I agree, I just don't know what that temp is.

I'm sure I want an LCD. Anyone own this TV or any of the 2008 models?
