Default Post Who will make the first? HDTV input

I was thinking today about this situation. I know that there are HDTV ready TVs but who will make the first videocard. As of today, No videocard manufacturer has started making HDTV input for TV. Over the next five years I believe, all cable channels will goto HDTV due to constriants of the US Government wanting the channels back in the year 2005, but the government has a channel that they never ever used - channel 1. That is besides the point, but any way who will step and make the first in producing the standard.

The problem is that our current TV system is obsolute in terms of clarity. The current system is a black & white picture with color layered overtop. At the beginning, there was a true color system but was black balled due to government complaints that everyone has a black & white tv at that time. Nowadays the black & white tv is/has becoming/became as product of the past. Now a not so new technology is coming into the market place (HDTV).

Who will make the new input standard first?

ATi
Nvidia
Matrox
3D Labs
other
