Having trouble with my Graphics Driver.....I think???

This morning I used the Mobility Modder to install Catalyst 8.6 Display Driver on my Laptop and I am getting a problem when I scroll in IE7, Firefox and Word 2007 (It is fine using Safari or Windows Explorer). I am not sure if it is because I might have picked the incorrect driver (I got the XP driver from here) for my ATI Radeon 9700 or if I just need to change a setting. Can someone please help?

What happens is when I scroll down/up the page using the mouse wheel it scrolls quite slowly and I can see the screen "refreshing" (Not sure if it is an actual refresh). There is like a wave that moves down/up moving the text in the appropriate way and very slow at that.

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

I think that your issue is the "smooth scrolling" feature on the browsers. Disabling it might help you.

Thank you for the response. I checked the "Smooth Scrolling" it is not enabled, I tried it both enabled and disabled and it changed nothing.
