Temps on Motherboard
Ok so i got the new system running but i am worried about temps. The full specs are listed bellow. I am getting roughly 125 degrees F on the NB and about 110 on the SB. The CPU is staying around 95 degrees F. The CPU seems good but i cant tell how the vieo cards are doing as the ATI software only shows me one of them. Any good software for knowing the right temps?
Antec 900 Case - I have all fans on high with the extra 120 on the door installed 2 x Sapphire HD4850 Toxic edition - Has the Zalman cooler pre installed. Q9550 - With Newegg.com - ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink - CPU Fans & Heatsinks SHould i consider a new case for better cooling? or are these normal temps? |

please use celcius next time as it makes it alot easier to judge temperature...
anyways..... the temps are good but not great.... youre in no danger of overheating but it could be lower whats your case?

60C is the magic number for nearly all computer components except GPUs which is like 80C max
while theyre safe temps to be at, id rather not be at them

Any ideas to lower them ?
One flaw i found is that the MB sensor on the rampage board i have is right near the dual video cards.... so it is going to be hot right there. As for the NB and SB i am at a loss as to decrease the temp as even with the fans in the case at max they stay the same. Also with the formula rampage board it has huge heat sinks and pipes on the NB and SB so they should be quite cool! |

The only way to improve airflow would be case fans that aren't blocked by wires etc... Especially since you have a your Gcard helping to heat up, or an extreme cooling solution such as watercooling, I am in the same boat you are, I'm reaching 55-60C with my X2, but I also have my system overclocked. but my Gcards goes right over the chipset, even tho it has a fan.

I worked to keep all the cables zip tied down and cleaned up but there are so many from the dang power supply
