Need your two cent's about these PSU's [56K Warning!]

Hi there!

I'm going to get new modular PSU and I was pondering should I get the CM Silent Pro M700 or the CM Real Power M700? They both are in the same price range. The Silent Pro is 118€ and the Real Power is 119€. If you have other modular PSU's to recommend the price range is ≤120€

Haven't read anything on the Silent Pro yet. But the Real Power is meant to be good.

I just did a quick check for modulars on that power/price range and couldn't find anything else I liked.

I have always had good experience with LC Power PSUs.

This one should be suitable for you:

LC8700 V2.2 HYPERION 700W - Free-Plug It's modular and costs about 80-90€ in Germany and Austria.

I am using a 550W version which is more than enough to power my overclocked HD4870, e8400@4.0GHz, 3 hard drives, one DVD burner and a floppy

Of those two, I'd go with the CM Real Power M700.

I couldn't find a decent review of the other one, and Grace gave the CM Real Power M700 VERY HIGH marks in her review: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews....d=568&pageid=5

If you are just replacing the one in your current system, assuming that what you have in your specs is correct, then the Corsair 620HX might be something to look at as well if it's in the same price range.

I can't find any of those in here. And If I find one in Germany that can ship it to here it's around 30€ to 40€ shipping fees....

The Silent Pro is single rail PSU 50A on the +12V and it has 138mm fan on it. The 620HX is around 135€ in here so that's out
