Hello everyone, I am having hardware problems today.
I was using Beta Nvidia drivers v177.98 and seemed fine until today when I was browsing the internet and my system lockedup and had to hit reset.
After the reset I heard 1 or 2 long beeps and a couple of small ones. I checked up on them with the laptop and from what I read it was a video VGA error. I also noticed that when I looked at the videocard fan when the PC was on the fan wasn't moving. I changed the powercable from the hardrive to the videocard and that seemed to fix it even though I am still getting the same error. I was also using a DVI connector. I changed the videocard out for an old AGP card: ATI 9600 XT and it still didn't work. Then I changed the DVI cable out for the default VGA cable. I still get the same error. Is the videocard slot dead now or maybe the motherboard is dying?

*update* I removed the videocard from the slot and disconnected the powercables from the HDD's and still getting alot of beeps so I think it may mean the memory is having problems.. I haven't been having any memory problems so this is a big surprise. I will have to removed the mobo from the case now cause having memory trouble is tricky.

*update ][* Well instead of removing memory I decided to clear cmos back to default settings and now it's fixed. Still weird that I would have to reset bios for a video driver problem usually you cant boot not have any video.
