System Specs

another interesting machine Dual CPU, m-ATX

a tiny system with lots of power....

Chassis - Silverstone SG04
PSU - Silverstone Strider 600W
Motherboard - Supermicro MBD-X7DCA-L-O Dual LGA 771 Micro ATX Motherboard
Memory - 6x Kingston ValueRam ECC Registered 2GB DDR2 667mhz
CPU - 2x Intel Xeon E5410 2.33Ghz LGA 771 Quad-Core
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 SC
HDD - 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor
Drive - Samsung 22X DVD Burner

Tower Cost: $1962.86

OS - Vista Ultimate SP1 X64

Total Cost: $2142.85

this is probably one of the most powerful m-ATX systems one can buy....

8 Cores at 2.33GHz
12GB of ECC DDR2 667mhz RAM
a very sexy Core 216 GTX 260
and a VelociRaptor

all in a small form-factor that can be carried around by a convenient handle at the top of the case.....

probably not the most overclocker friendly, but if you have a small system, you really shouldn't do that anyway..

now, would YOU buy this if you had an extra $2143 bucks

that thing would almost without a doubt overheat. I had a extremely difficult time from keeping my 780, e8400, and 2 8800GT's from overheating in an HTPC case. Having 2 quads in an even smaller case = ultimate death.

yea maybe i should swap to the NZXT Black Rogue.....

the thing packs 4 120mm fans.....

Newegg.com - NZXT ROGUE Crafted Series BLACK ROGUE w. BLUE LED Black Aluminum MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

it probably needs carefully placed fans to run under such a small case...

Nice! Kind of like keeping Tasmanian Devil in a small case.

That Silverstone case looks kind of interesting.

I wonder if it would be possible to put in a fan at the area where the 'handle' meets the case? Put a fan on each end, and let them exhaust thru the holes in the handle. Could be interesting, if the handle is hollow.

thats actually quite an interesting idea! but that particular handle is probably too narrow and solid......

i think fans can be mounted below the handle and just put vent holes around the handle base

Well, looking at the pics, it looks like there is enough area where the handle attaches to the case. I guess you would have to see the case 'in the flesh' to be able to tell.

yea that may work.....

but the Rogue case is beginning to look more appealing.......

seems more modder friendly and spacious....

its specs speak for themselves

on another note, 2 people said they would buy it, 3 said they wouldnt and 2 (including me) said im crazy

i wonder who's who

I'm 'none of the above'

I didn't vote, because I'd never be in the market of a case that small.
IF i was, I'd have to consider it tho, or the Cooler Master RC541 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...omputer%20Case

i dont think 80mm fans could cool this thing effectively though..... without much noise though....

the NZXT case seems to be the best for this situation

i'd like to kill all the motherboard manufacturers and websites that post specs when they list the audio chip as "8 channel"... wtf is this? 8 channel tells me shit all..

When they list SATA, they say ICH9R 6 sata ports. not just 6 Sata...
