I don't need audio, but it would be a nice plus. I will connect through HDMI the to get xbox 360 console (long story) and the dvi for the pc. If it also had a VGA would be great, but not necessary.

If you go a little bigger Samsung has a new one called the SM2493HM (LS24KIEEFV), a 24" LCD TFT. 10,000:1 contrast, height adjustable/tilt/swivel base, comes with VGA D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI, and has a pair of 4w built in speakers. Usually runs around $550-600.
I got one of these for a client, and as soon as I can I'm buying one for myself. Great thing about this one is that just like with the 2253BW this has hardware scaling. So, if I play a game at 1024x768 it displays as that on the monitor. No blown up crappy looking image. |

24" is too much for me, both in size and cost.

the benq 2400 imo is still top choice.. containing hdmi/vga/dvi... and a quick input selector button on the far bottom right.
Had my xbox connected via hdmi... pc via dvi.. and wii connected to a vga box which connected to the vga on the monitor. hdmi and dvi looked great.. and vga would have if i had a vga box that was 1080p.

Well the one I thought about getting was not available at Argos (lower price). Every other place I found it was on sale for 100 GBP more at least (from 199 GBP to at least 300). I really wanted one ASAP, so I got another brand. I don't know enough of it but from what I know it isn't as bad as it could.
The link is this one Buy Bush L22T11W-A 22in HD Ready Digital LCD TV. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for . But the site has it wrong. It actualy comes with 2 HDMI connections and 1 vga, composite, component, svga etc. Very good specs 1680x1050. I don't have a vga cable to try my netbook on it, so I did the only thing logical. I bought an Xbox 360 Elite and connected it with the HDMI cable it has. Only tried Grid and Sega Rally demos so far, but they both looked great. The actual TV (digital) looked fantastic as well. Hopefuly it is good enough for text/PC usage as well. Thank you all.

Generally LCD TVs don't do so well as PC monitors due to pixel pitch and other differences, however it is interesting that it lists a resolution of 1680x1050, normally a resolution not found on LCD TVs, so you never know. The way the specs are listed I get the impression it's actually an LCD monitor with a built in tuner.
Be sure to let us know how it fairs with PC usage.

I have yet to connect it to a PC, but I did try it as a TV and as a monitor for the xbox 360 through hdmi.
As a TV is fine, although the speakers are a bit...meh. In terms of picture quality for the xbox, it is very good. I haven't noticed anything wrong with it yet, played a few demos and full game of the game Fuel of war and Halo (the first). In fact the picture quality I think is better for these games than with my previous sony 32" bravia or the LG 24" monitor, but in those both cases the connection was made through the VGA. The only problem so far is a weird noise that comes out when I use the xbox, through the build in speakers or with headphones attached to the tv. It's like interference or something, difficult to explain. When music or any action is on it is not possible to hear it, but I still don't like that it is there. I tried the other HDMI connection on the back of the TV and it is still there. I don't know if it is the cable, the xbox or the tv causing this. (btw the black elite 120gb 360, is more quiet than the premium 20gb version I bought 2 years ago)
