Chipset fan dieing...
The fan on my MB for the CHIPSET is dieing, is there any good replacements, and it has to be relatively flat because it sits right under the VCARD which is stupid.
Thanks.

some hdd coolers are about the same size... actually i think they are the same size
. also if you could find some old PII fan, they are about the same size too, and the PII fan is much faster than the hdd fans, and you could attach it to the mothrboard as a case fan or a second CPU fan, so the motherboard could read the RPM of the fan .althow i think the hdd fans are slimmer, the PII fan will do a better job at cooling .

although you didn't list for which motherboard you are requesting this for, i'm thinking that it's for a s939 machine based on your siggy.
with that said, you might want to check out my thread asking the same thing basically. there are some good suggestions in there!

you know, i've nevr seen a mother board wit a chipset fan, i know people put them if they OC, but fabricaly, i've never seen one put on the chipset. is this fan put fabricaly or because of over clocking?

I replaced a few NB fans with a passive solution like Zalman NB-47J. If it was obstructing the graphic card I just removed and/or bent some pins. Does superb job and it's silent.
