Not TN?

I keep wondering is there some sure way to keep track of what companies are using actual good LCD panels? Maybe someone should register www.notTN.com and keep a list. Some review site maybe!

If you read his message, he says maybe some should register the domain.

I've never really had a problem with bad LCD's I had a few stuck pixel's on my Dell but I fixed them.

Had you had a bad experience RobertBruce?

Never had problems I couldnt work with, but there always seems to be one or two pixels that get stuck on a particular color for a few days at a time. Besides, every review of any lcd seems to point out the shortcomings of a TN made, and so I thought somehow a site that filtered out the 'cheapos' sounded like a good idea. And yes thats a dead link on purpose.

You can use something like this. It helped with a burn in I had on a Dell monitor. Stuck pixels you can fix, but dead ones are dead.

Yea what EVO said. There's a free applet on Jscreenfix that you can run in firefox which will possibly cure a "stuck" pixel. I used the applet to clean up mine, fixed about 4 or 5 and they never came back. If you pay for the application it installs as a screen saver, and runs through tests and screens to reduce burn-in and stuck pixels while you're away from the screen very neat idea.

However if the pixels you see are black, then more than likely they're dead pixels, which can't be revived. Still worth a shot either way as they may just be stuck on black.

There's also pixel massaging. This is where you turn the screen off and use a soft cloth and rub the area of the stuck pixel. I've had limited success with this method, but again worth a try.

Cheers

Craig

I have one pixel that's constantly red.

It's only one and it's quite far down to the right so it's no big issue really but if it can be fixed then it would be great.
