Recording TV

I have this Bush LCD/TFT TV with build in freeview tuner. What is the cheapest and most effective way to record program off it in digital format then copy it to my computer for editing?

If the TV outputs to SCART (some do) then you would need a capture card in the computer.

Given the price of DVB for computer though, may as well equip the computer with a DVB-T tuner itself.

Scart supports 720p?
The TV has every output you can think off, except dvi.
What about these PVRs or whatever they are called. Can they be connected to PC for editing or are they nothing but glorified VHS recorders?

Wait, is that input or output? lol

SCART supports only SD resolutions so no HD. If you have DVB box that has hdd they ahve USB connector to transfer the video to PC.
