Dual-Monitor setup not working w/ NX8600
Hello folks!
This ones got me stumped... so here we go: Specs Video card: NX8600 series by MSI (No ATX power required, and running current Omega drivers) MoBo: M2N-SLI Delux by Asus Monitors: 225BW 2443BWX Both Syncmasters, by Samsung Background I built this doosey about 5 months ago for my friend, everything has worked beautifully... until now. At first he was using JUST the 225BW. reso is great, everything is smooth. 3 Days ago he received a brand new 2443 BWX, and wants both the arrangments to work together. I figure this is a simple task; Yes, the monitors are different sizes but they are still both DVI. I plug the new monitor in the right DVI port, reboot and move to set up Dualview on nView, but low and behold, the New Monitor doesnt even show up~! I reboot, and try try again, still... No avail! I tried to use JUST the new monitor which displayed for about 30 seconds, then returned to "No signal, check connection cable" Still no display to this day. I even brought the 2443 home to hook up to my ATI X1600, and I get the same silly Check Conn... error. Any ideas? Does this monitor need a particular driver? Its really badass and new, with a few features I dont quite understand yet. I've tried new cables, and its driving me nuts! please help! |

Re: Dual-Monitor setup not working w/ NX8600
Sounds like it's just a bad monitor. Especially the "displayed for about 30 seconds, then returned to "No signal, check connection cable" " part.
I doubt there is anything you can do other than return it for a new one. Especially since you tried it on another system, as a single monitor only, and with different cables. You've pretty well eliminated anything else. That's gonna happen at times with every piece of computer/electronic gear out there. You just got unlucky and ended up with one of the ones that fail like that.

I second the above opinion. It's got to be a bad monitor. Take it back and let the techs at the store check for themselves.
Good luck! |
