the QPI is the new FSB, i would actually like to know more on how that works and how that is different than the old FSB that we're all used to.

yea.... i must admit i dont like Gigabyte colors but compared to the intel board, it actually has ALL SIX DDR3 slots.....

and it can run 3-way SLI and CFX, none of the other boards can at the price

ASUS P6T supports SAS drives in RAID though..... judas wanna swap out your 6x seagates for some 15k SAS drives? only uses 2 though....

It's true the Gigabyte has the better ram slot configuration and they angled the sata connectors unlike Intel. What was intel thinking?

well atm all i got is 2 500gb seagate 7200.11's..... and they aren't even raided ..

but they will be gone here shortly anyways.

i didn't want to jump but i was hoping i'd see the 7200.12s

well i've got 2 920 core i7's to build right away...

Going to go with Asus this round.

both of which will have 6gb each

both of which will have 2x 500gb 7200.11 seagate drives in raid 1 mirroring

both of which will have 2x HD4670's in it

both of which will reside within a coolermaster 690 case

both of which will have 600-750watt PC Power & cooling psu's

DVR-216 pioneer drives

8 samsung 24" 2443BW monitors

i'm just itching to receive my shipment....

i think the total cost of the systems are a little over 2 grand each... (exluding the monitors which total cost is about 3200 bucks)

As for the ati radeon ???? which i'm guessing your reading from my own spec list... It's simply that.... unknown, as i am waiting for the new ATI cards to arrive.... when not a clue....

So how long should us normal folk wait for bugs and the first gen crap to get worked out? I just got a new Q6600 a few months ago but not all that impressed with it and plan on doing a swap in a few months.

all we need is someone to go and break one of these things and then we'll see whats wrong with it....

as it is now, no OCing or anything, it seems they do great! judging by the DH review....

try to overclock it.. it might perform better to your expectations..

i'm quite impressed with the Q6600 all by itself stock... it's even more amazing overclocked obviously... considering how easy it is to overclock...

it's going to cost me at wholesale price, $486 for the i7 920
