anybody have experience with 434 corsair xms & 433 mushkin 'black'? i am looking for compatibility & performance issues. i can get a matched pair of the mushkin for about $15 dollars cheaper than the corsair. the mushkin is a 'matched' set, the corsair is not. the memory timings on the corsair appear slightly better but not being familiar with ddr do not know how significant this is.
any help/enlightenment appreciated! |

Get Corsair XMS. If you are going for matched pairs, I suggest the Twin XMS-LL series, since they already come matched at aggresive timings and you don't need to worry about compatability issues.

problem with that is they do not do the 434 in matched pairs. which is why i had some concern about compatibility/stability issues.

i got some corsair XMS3200LL and it works superbly, i had to use a slower stick of DDR RAM when i first got it with my A7N8X Dlx cuz they have some sort of prob with eachother on first boot, but after i went into BIOS and changed my settings i just chucked my XMS in and its fantastic
Although they dont sell mushkin in Australia (well i havent seen it) i would reccomend Corsair for their lifetime warranty ![]() Hope that helps Peace Out |

1. What motherboard? 2. How fast do you plan on running it? I'm not running a matched pair but their running at 2225 w/ no problems. |

asus p4p800 dx. not sure yet. i have absoluley no exp. overclocking ddr. up till now i have been rdram & pc 133. i will be buying a retail cpu, so stock cooling, my case has 4 fans +2 in the ps.
that was was one of the nice things about rdram, it was all high quality, & you did not have to worry about timing, cas, & all the rest of it. oh well.
