Is there any error message? If she's using XP see if there are any errors in Event Viewer. Have fun!

if its a one time event shrug it off. if it becomes a repeated and repeatable event then I'd take the time to trouble shoot.

message to shrink
slight missunderstanding of questain she has access to my/this pc.
i don't think the problem lies in windows due to a clean install a week ago. cpu fan works fine.this has only happened once it might just be one of those unexplained occurence. i will probably take shukis advice for the tim being to see how it goes. thanks anyway |

Yes earthed, didn't know the exact word,
but knew it had to do with the globe we live on I used to have strange lockup, restarts, while temp. psu where all ok changing the SB-live for a real soundcard, did help a bit but kept getting a strange behavior, which i did not have before then realized I now had a diffrent tapestry, nylon or something ( before it was wooden floor) earthed the whole PC, and i now have a very stable system.

i have slight suspician it could be my previous sound card it were a phillips 605 5.1 i had windows startup to my desktop around played windows startup sound ok then the system would wait around 1 minuite before my nortans internet secuirity would come into effect.
but was'nt happy with the peformance of the card so i just upgraded to creative labs audigy 2 pci card no startup delays since. it were a worthy buy because it rocks.the price you pay mostly says it all compared £35 for the phillips and £89 for the audigy 2 |
