with 12 gig ram any real reason to use page file? i know win likes to have someting to scribble on regardless of amount of mem but maybe u could do a cpl of runs of your photoshop test to check that one out

i thought ht was only enabled on the extreme cores. be cool if that is trickling down to reg i7.

all the i7 intel cores have Hyper Threading...

the i7 920 has 4 cores with an extra thread available for each... so it shows up in windows vista/7 with 8 cpus via the task manager...

hey if I said ive three systems here would you all hate my guts?

Ive still the intel v8 system which until recently was the DH workhorse for designs (8 cores @ 3ghz each, 16gb of ram). 280 GTX

Skulltrail 8 cores @ 4ghz (4.5 if I want to push it) with 16gb of ram (3x280gtx OCX's)

And Nehalem EP with 12gb of ram (285 GTX).

32 cores in total from 3 systems, quite nice !

Anyway check out the review of the Nehalem dual CPU system on DH in the near future, ive a meeting with intel next week in London so ill get cracking after that.
