solve my pc problem

hello guys,
i need your help, i have msi 865 GVM2-LS motherboard.
when i switched on my pc, it cannot boot, on first screen following message appears:

"cmos checksum error- defaults loaded"

"press f1 to continue or del to enter setup"

when i press these keys, it cannot responed, i cannot enter in BIOS setup.
i have replace cmos battery but it doesn't work. the problem still persists.
there is no problem with HDD and RAM, because i have checked these in my friends pc.
please! suggest me what can i do now to solve this problem

Have you checked the keyboard to make sure it is functioning? Reseting the CMOS might help as well.

something to try:

power off psu with switch on back
pull cord from psu,
set cmos jumper on board to clear position,
and remove the bios battery

give it few minutes, (not 20 seconds)

re-seat battery,
put jumper back to default position,
plug in psu,
power on psu then system.

any luck?


EDIT: good suggestion, try a different kybrd

this definitely should work !!.... if it does'nt do it again this time go for a long tea/ coffe break,

I thought we identified the problem in the description where he said it was an MSI board.
