Hello DH friends all over the world,
I'm a PC enthusiast and I've always loved DH.net bacause of all of the cool stuff you can learn about computer technology and also because of the great (free) software that I've found here that has been allowing me to stay up to date with the latest ATi driver releases (the DH ATi Mobility Modder) for my ASUS A8JP(ATi Mobility Radeon x1700) for over 2 years now. It's a super great tool that I'm sure helps millions all over the world as you read this. That's simply awesome. I just recently bought a very inexpensive laptop ($350+tax), the Acer Aspire 4530 at my local Micro Center store. It has a built in GPU, the Geforce 9100M G that supposedly has PhysX support. I installed the official driver 179.48 and also PhysX 9.09.0203. PhysX seems to work, very slow increase in performance, but actually seems improve something when tested with the nVidia PhysX Fluids Demo (by turning HardWare PhysX ON and OFF in the demo and by watching the CPU load difference). Although PhysX seems to work on this 9100M G chip, I've found no way to enable or disable PhysX under Nvidia's Control Panel (option that is found under my GTX 260's menu on my desktop PC). Anyway, PhysX glitch aside, I'd like to be able to mod the latest nVidia's drivers for my notebook computer (9100M G GPU) by using the DH nVidia Mobility Modder tool. I hope someone out there can help me with this project or teach me how to make the necessary mods myself successfully. Thank you and I hope there's someone out there that could help me get this done! God bless you all, Thiago Here's some info about my notebook PC and it's 9100M G GPU: *** Info from GPU-Z: NVIDIA System Information report created on: 04/03/2009 23:45:58 System name: WINDOWS-PC [Display] Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-60 (1900 MHz) Operating System: Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium, 32-bit (Service Pack 1) DirectX version: 10.0 GPU processor: GeForce 9100M G Driver version: 179.48 Stream processors: 8 Core clock: 450 MHz Shader clock: 1100 MHz Memory interface: 64-bit Total available graphics memory: 1407 MB Dedicated video memory: 256 MB System video memory: 64 MB Shared system memory: 1087 MB Video BIOS version: 62.77.28.00.01 IRQ: 22 Bus: FPCI [Components] nvCplUIR.dll 2.2.275.00 NVIDIA Control Panel nvCpl.cpl 2.2.275.00 NVIDIA Control Panel Applet nvCplUI.exe 2.2.275.00 NVIDIA Control Panel nvViTvSR.dll 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA Video and TV Server nvViTvS.dll 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA Video and TV Server nvDispSR.dll 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA Display Server NVMCTRAY.DLL 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA Media Center Library nvDispS.dll 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA Display Server NVCPL.DLL 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA Compatible Windows Vista Display driver, Version 179.48 nvGameSR.dll 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA 3D Settings Server nvGameS.dll 7.15.11.7948 NVIDIA 3D Settings Server *** Info from "Windows Device Manager": -Device ID: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&SUBSYS_014A1025&REV_A2 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&SUBSYS_014A1025 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&CC_0300 -Compatible ID: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&REV_A2 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844 PCI\VEN_10DE&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&CC_0300 PCI\VEN_10DE PCI\CC_030000 PCI\CC_0300 -Power data: Current power state: D0 -Power capabilities: 00000009 PDCAP_D0_SUPPORTED PDCAP_D3_SUPPORTED Power state mappings: S0 -> D0 S1 -> Unspecified S2 -> Unspecified S3 -> D3 S4 -> D3 S5 -> D3 -Device Instance Path: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&SUBSYS_014A1025&REV_A2\4&105 D929E&0&0058 -Driver Node Strong Name: oem5.inf:NVIDIA.Mfg.NTx86.6.0:nv_C77:7.15.11.7948: pci\ven_10de&dev_0844&subsys_014a1025 -Driver assembly description: NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G -Inf name: oem5.inf -Inf section: nv_C77 -Matching device ID: pci\ven_10de&dev_0844&subsys_014a1025 *** Info from "System Information": Name NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G PNP Device ID PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0844&SUBSYS_014A1025&REV_A2\4&105 D929E&0&0058 Adapter Type GeForce 9100M G, NVIDIA compatible Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G Adapter RAM 256.00 MB (268,435,456 bytes) Installed Drivers nvd3dum.dll,nvwgf2um.dll Driver Version 7.15.11.7948 INF File oem5.inf (nv_C77 section) Color Planes Not Available Color Table Entries 4294967296 Resolution 1280 x 800 x 60 hertz Bits/Pixel 32 Memory Address 0xC9000000-0xC9FFFFFF Memory Address 0xD0000000-0xD7FFFFFF Memory Address 0xCC000000-0xD7FFFFFF I/O Port 0x00004000-0x00004FFF IRQ Channel IRQ 22 I/O Port 0x000003B0-0x000003BB I/O Port 0x000003C0-0x000003DF Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys (7.15.11.7948, 7.20 MB (7,544,832 bytes), 1/30/2009 8:12 AM) Last edited by thiago; Apr 4, 2009 at 08:09 AM. |
