It's alive!
My old PC is gone, and my new PC is now fully configured. I installed the PSU today, and put in the two disks from my old PC (and updated my system specs here at DH). It's the first time I ever used the Windows feature of assigning a partition to a path instead of assigning it a drive letter. It's very cool. Otherwise I'd have ended with 14 partitions, which would have been a mess. Now I'll have to copy things over and start clearing the old disks. Once I plan to use the 80G disk for the Windows 7 RC, and maybe I'll even install Linux somewhere.
I must say that the PSU's cables weren't the most convenient for the configuration. I ended up having to add another SATA power cable. Still, the module nature, and having a GPU power cable, did end up giving me a cleaner case than the PSU that came with it. |
