Re: Intel dp35p motherboard

I haven't used that mobo so not completely sure but on the two X38 boards I have here there is a setting in power management that unlocks the fan control. Check for fan settings set to Auto in that section.

Re: Intel dp35p motherboard

Unfortunatelly with latest bios update i did intel removed any settings about manually controlling fans and instead replaced them with 3 predefined settings. If anyone knows a program like speedfan that regognize that m/b is most likely my only chance

Re: Intel dp35p motherboard

Hmm that's unfortunate and the issue you may find with a third party program like speedfan as it has no control as this option has been removed as you mentioned in BIOS.

Someone might have an answer for you though good luck

Re: Intel dp35p motherboard

Oh well. thanks for the response. I guess i'm gonna change my m/b ( not only for that reason). i like intel m/b's since they are reliable but the zero overclocking abilities and no fan speed control will lead me to change it. One last question MacDaddy. Is the x38 m/b you have intel? does it support overclocking?

Re: Intel dp35p motherboard

The one I am using now is Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 and a lot of O/Cing options with it. There are X48 versions out now as well(for LGA775) ... and someone may still have a solution for you.

I am off to work will check back later and see if I can be of anymore help. Also welcome to DH I see you joined up not to long ago
