How to play SVCDs?

I have a SVCD that I really want to watch, but the sound is all choppy when played in my dvd player. As my last resort, my PC doesn't play it at all. So, are there any media players out there play SVCDs?
Thx

I use windvd to play my svcds. If you have the ability to get the svcd, you can get windvd.

WinDVD or PowerDVD, or any other DVD-Player utility, just get Daemon Tools and mount the image of the SVCD; then point the default drive for the DVD-Player to the drive letter of that mounted image.

It may not play because your CD-ROM drive may not support the SVCD standard, if you have a DVD-ROM or a modern CD-ROM drive then disregard this comment.

digerati will become famous soon enough

You can go to doom9.org and download some free dvd codecs in their downloads section that should allow you to play svcds instead of having to (hopefully) purchase a software dvd player.
