Looking for a new Graphics card

I am a casually gamer and am in need of a new graphics card. My card went on the fritz and Even though the new graphics cards are amazing and I would love to have one, I feel I would not be able to use it to is max potentional. So here are my specs

inspiron 531s
4gb memory
former Graphics card was a Geforce 8300gs
it worked really well for 3 years

I primarily play World of warcraft, any suggestions for a cost effective graphics card that will work just as well and be compatable with AMD dual core processor motherboard

Re: Looking for a new Graphics card

Just for your information, this forum space (feedback) is for feedback on driverheaven related things.. be it forum issues or question, reviews or anything else related to it.

it's not a place to ask this kind of question.... so you'll likely see this topic moved to the appropriate forum...

As for a suggestion, i'd advice getting at minimum a ATI Radeon HD4350 which should actually perform far better then the 8300 you had... but if your playing those kind of games.. you'd likely light up in glee if you got yourself a 4670/4650 Series ATI Radeon HD....

Just make sure you uninstall your previous nvidia drivers completely before downloading and installing the latest 9.5 catalyst drivers from ati.

Re: Looking for a new Graphics card

I'd go for the ATI 4770. Good performance, low price.

Re: Looking for a new Graphics card

4830 is in between the 4670 and 4770, or there abouts.

As everyone has mentioned a 4770 is a really good card and that would be my choice too
