QAM + ATSC Tuner
Well I found a TV tuner card for my computer that actually tunes all the new digital channels well. My old AverMedia USB tuner would bring them in however it would skip and freeze a lot. It did fine with analog.
Newegg.com - Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Media Center Kit Dual TV Tuner 1213 PCI-Express x1 Interface - TV Tuners & Video Devices That Hauppauge above tunes all the new free HD channels well with its WinTV 7 app. Of course it won't bring in encrypted channels. No skipping or freezing yet. Obviously if you have a weak video card and/or CPU you may still get the mentioned problems.

Re: QAM + ATSC Tuner
Interesting and it fits right in a PCI-Ex1 slot

Re: QAM + ATSC Tuner
Yep and if your PCI-e slots are too close to your graphics card you can plug it into your second 16x slot if you aren't using two graphics cards. Mine is in said slot. If I had used my 1x slot it would have been very close to my 4890.

Re: QAM + ATSC Tuner
Here's a couple pages for you guys to take a look. It's regarding Media Center TV Pack 2008. It's for those that want native Clear (unencrypted) QAM support under Windows Media Center in Vista (and Windows 7). Normally this is an OEM only upgrade for Vista, meaning only OEMs that include a TV tuner card get this, but in the first article I linked to is a link to Endgadget HD that has the download package.
HERE And these last two HERE and HERE are important as the first includes the registry settings for most QAM supported Hauppauge cards, including the 2250 (however sometimes you need the registry listings for the 2250, while sometimes you don't), and the last has more info on the 2250. On top of that, you might also want to switch over to, or at least try out Windows 7 RC1 as it's MC has been overhauled. Someone also pointed out to me that the latest releases of Windows 7 RC1 have better support for the 2250 (it sees it right off the bat).
