Re: Post your first computer specs
Had an Amiga 500 and Commodore 64 (can't remember which one was first to be honest). Also used a BBC Acorn?, Dragon 32, Sinclair ZX81 and Spectrum.
The first gaming machine I built was based on the Voodoo 3 2000 with an Intel CPU (PII or PIII). Can't remember what motherboard anymore. Windows 98 and Soundblaster I think.

Re: Post your first computer specs
First computer was a Sinclair kit.... assemble it yourself. Was an early model of what eventually became Timex/Sinclair. Bunch of the Commodore stuff along the way. First PC was a 12mhz 8086 (XT Turbo) with 1 meg o ram...... 360 of that was a ram disk, and a 20mb hard/card. Had both 3.5 and 5.25 floppy drives and a greyscale monochrome monitor.
This was back in the stone age you know......

Re: Post your first computer specs
Oh, if it goes not just the first owned, then I have a couple more firsts to note.
The first computer I ever typed on was IIRC a ....I don't remember in early 1983. Details of how I came to see it doesn't matter. The first computer I ever programmed on was a Multitech PC back in 1983-4. I was about 7-8yo at the time, more interested in games than programming lol. The first computer I ever owned I told you. The first computer I owned with a hard drive was an Amiga 1200 with a 20MB drive, in 1993. The first PC I owned was in 1994. A 486-DX40 (IIRC) (pentium was still very expensive recently released CPU in Greece at least) with hmm, I don't remember how much RAM, it had a graphics card a Cirrus Logic 5428 (IIRC), a Creative Labs SB16 soundcard and I don't remember the hard drive that well, I think it was 500MB. But it had a double speed CDROM drive!!!!

First computer I bought: Amiga 500
Loved it. Used it from about 1987 until 1993, when I bought a Pentium 90Mhz system from Cybermax. |
