Re: power supply ????

That's a definite "Maybe"....... in the past Dell has used proprietary PSU pinout on their 20 pin plug and I don't know when they stopped doing that. If the wire color code is an exact match between the two power supplies then you probably can swap the 300 watt into the dell case. If the old dell PSU is missing then your going to have a problem checking that.

There's no problem being over spec as far as wattage goes, if everything else matches up.

Re: power supply ????

well, if all the connectors seem to be the same, than i guess it would be safe to plug in the 300W power supply...

just to be on the safe side, compare the color coding of a standard ATX power supply to the power supply of the Dell one...

Dell ATX Aux power Supply: DELL ATX Aux Power Supply pinout and wiring @ pinouts.ru

Dell ATX Motherboard Power Supply: DELL ATX motherboard Power Supply pinout and wiring @ pinouts.ru

Standard ATX 24 Pin Power Supply: ATX (ATX12V) 24 pin power supply connector pinout and wiring @ pinouts.ru

Standard ATX +12V 4 Pin Power Supply: ATX / BTX +12V power connector pinout and wiring @ pinouts.ru

Re: power supply ????

Mostly the older ones and I'm not sure where the OP's 8200 fits in there, It may be standard hardware.
