??? HELP: X-Fi and 7 problem

Hey guys, I wrote the best question of all but then the site crashed for a sec and it all went to the drain so, I'll keep short:

My X-Fi ExtremeMusic PCI card works perfectly on XP, but with Windows7/Vista it just won't boot.

any ideas?

(Maybe it's similar to changing AHCI/IDE in the BIOS?)

Please help, I spent too many hours trying to resolve this

That type of card seems to do okay with Win7 in general, but try moving the card to another PCI slot.

Re: HELP: X-Fi and 7 problem

you might want to try switching slots. I know that it sounds a little trivial but its worth a shot. You also may want to find some new drivers from the product site if you haven't already

Re: HELP: X-Fi and 7 problem

Well, I brought the card to the place I work in, we have a big LAB for PC's, maybe the technician can find the problem. I don;t know, maybe the card IS bad, maybe it's the compatibility with my Motherboard. we'll see...

Any way, thanks alot guys, I really appreciate the try!
