TONS of connections!
Here is a list of my connections when I open CMD and type netstat. There are a ton of ports connecting. Can anyone tell me what this crap is and/or how to turn it off?!

Re: TONS of connections!
XPS-730X is that not the name of your PC?
and the 192.168.1.100 entries are the open ports that are currently connected |

Re: TONS of connections!
Assuming that Chaos is right about XPS-730-H2C being your computer, most of those connections are local, from different processes on your computer to the computer itself and are harmless. The rest are probably made by the browser. Overall, I don't think that there is reason for concern. A still want to get more information about what's making the connections, your firewall should provide a suitable list.

Yes, the XPS-730x-H2C is the name of my PC. I was just wondering what all of the open ports were for. I've never seen that many on a PC.

Re: TONS of connections!
as IvanV said, most of them are internal processes, most of the ports above 9000 are used internally...
![]() seeing that most of the connections are made through the 10080 port, they are probably internal connections that are used by some services, so there is really no reason for panic...
