The 400CX and 450VX are the only two Corsair PSUs with just one 6 Pin PCI-e connector.

The 550VX has one 6 Pin and one 6+2 pin connector. ALL of their other PSU's have two or more 6+2 pin connectors.

CompaqSuckz is on a distinguished road

Re: Buying a new processor (A noob)

I might just wait to buy a PSU until I can get the one you suggested or something around that price range. I can only afford 40-50 buck PSU right now =/

and its price is over that of the PC power and Cooling models which sucks....... they're top quality PSUs but they do demand a bit higher cost for all the extras they include...

My bad.

You could always use the two molex to one pci-e adaptor that comes with the card. I know it's far less than ideal, but it's what I'm doing now and it works fine.

On balance though, yeah buy the PC Power and Cooling when you can afford it.
