worth of computer
I am selling my computer to a friend of mine, everything pc-related, because I am gonna move to New Zealand for my studies beginning January. I can't take it with me, no matter how much I'd like to...
So my friend will be taking over this pc, and I would like to know what you think would be a reasonable price. I don't want to rip him off, but I'd still like a decent price and don't want to rip myself off, you know. I have much need for the money to buy myself a decent system in NZ, especially since I will be doing an architectural study.. But I will make thread for help about that somewhere in December  the hardware and surroundings are: Case: Cosmos S Mobo: P5Q-E CPU: E6600 RAM: 8gb Mushkin 800mhz GPU: Powercolor 4850 512mb Audio: Audigy 2 ZS PSU: OCZ GameXstream 600W HDD: ~1.5TB Seagates. 2x 320gb 7200.10 and 2x500gb 7200.11 Floppy: it's there CD/DVD: Samsung SH-S223F Speakers: Logitech Z2300 Screen: E-yama 17JN1 Key-board: 2x Microsoft comfort Curve 2000 (bought one spare, cos I like them so much) Mouse: Logitech MX400 I hope you can help me with this! EDIT: Please do take into consideration this is Europe - Netherlands, we are talking about.. So that means Euro's, and prices are relatively higher here than in the US

damn.. that's not much... I really thought I had more money sitting here..
 The computer is maybe a year old.. But I tend to upgrade along the way...

The CPU is holding it back, along with the "average" graphics card. The monitor doesn't help at all. A 17" 1280x1024 monitor just doesn't sell today.
Then, everything is used, so, you will be very lucky to get 550.

yea I guess so.. ah well.. 550 is better than nothing right
Makes me think though.. would it be wise to sell the case separately? The Cosmos S sells new for ~190 euro's here.. so putting this pc in a 'Normal' jacke for the folks I'm selling it too, as they're not the type that goes wild over case-modding..

even more.. damn.. next thing I know I will have to pay them extra to take it over..
yea, I guess I could expect that with computing power of a year or more old. I'll just give it to them for 500 bucks I guess. I will put it up on "marktplaats" (dutch version of ebay) too, to see what people would pay for it. Who knows, might be someone stupid enough to buy it for more money then I ever imagined
