Costum build -Wires

I'm about to buy a new PC (Custom) and I was wondering if you get all the necessary wires included with the main components?

If you get the parts in retail packaging, then most of the times you get all the cables with them.
If you buy them OEM, then no.

Even then, for things like the HDDs, and optical drives, the Mainboard maker usually puts a couple of cables those in with their packaging.

One thing that they WON'T supply is thermal compound. I know that the current AMD BOXED processors come with thermal compound applied to the HSF. Some people use it, others prefer to clean it off and use a 3rd party TIM from folks like Arctic Silver. If you are going to buy an OEM processor, and an aftermarket HSF, then you WILL need to get some thermal paste as well.

Mind you, some builders won't give you all the cables that came with the components. Some will keep the extra SATA or Molex to SATA cables, or keep back panel USB headers (if the case you bought used them all up then the header could be considered useless). Of course if they give you any sort of retail box, such as a motherboard or video card box, before you walk out with the system be sure to check the box contents of whatever you bought to what they've given you, as well as to what they have used inside the box. So, if the box says you get 4 SATA cables, to which they only used 2, and didn't give you any back, then you can ask them about it then and there.

I'm going to buy an Artic Cooling Freezer 7, so it is coming with their pre-applied paste. The purchase will be made trough Newegg.ca but I will definitely check what is supposed to be included.

Thank you very much to all 3 of you.
