Gosh I hope you didn't pay that sticker price. Nice board though, except for the part you can put your name into. That is pretty cheasy. haha

Well the toal was actually a little less from that I paid 586 with member discount. Also I would of had to wait until after christmas, but we know eachother by name at that store too (A&R Adelaide)

I need to go back to Perth. had so much fun there. I guess location has a huge impact on price. $400 usd is still rougly $450 aud. The motherboard price just sounded insane to me. I guess if you're happy that is all that counts.

I bought it at A&R Adelaide Australia (Melrose Park Store). I had spoken to someone about the high prices before and it has something to do with overheads and 2-3 day overseas shipping costs. I paid 586Au total.

Why haven't you validated it ;D? So you managed to get 625 FSB on a P43...

But how come you have a S1156 CPU (i7 860) on a 1366 board :')?
Or is it a typo?

sry, I thought an 860 was 1366, so it will have to be an 870? or 920-940 then.

EDIT: I haven't put this PC together yet cause I haven't got the cpu yet, it won't be for 2 more weeks yet.

For this board you need something with 9xx. 920, 940 etc...

920 is best bang for the buck.

860 and 870 are for S1156. You don't need them...

Think about it? I had my E7300 when I bought it I clocked it the first time and from that point on the temps always differed 8 degrees between each sensor which plagued me from the "very" beginning! Basically I kept clocking forwards on my old P5N32 Nvidia chipset until one gracious night the light shined on it only to let power saving kick in in Windows which only allowed for a 3.2gig Saviour, BS anyone??!
