Difference between MSI mb E-51 & E-65

Hello, Hope everyone had a peaceful & safe holiday season. Am finally cobbling together a new 'puter system.
The local Frys electronics had this combo for sale for $99-less $10 mail-in rebate. The links below are from the egg, but they are the sale items at Frys. Would be updating from single core athlon ( I know dinosaur!). The parts are :

Item #: N82E16813130247 MSI 785GM-E51

Item #: N82E16819103724 Athlon II x 3 435

Play only 2 games Links & Silent Hunter III

Would also get an ATI discreet card as well.

Any thoughts/feedback will be appreciated!

Also can anyone tell me the difference between the MSI 785GM-E51 & MSI 785GM-E65 board?

Thanks for your replies in advance! ( I think I've posted in the correct forum )

Re: Difference between MSI mb E-51 & E-65

E65 = up to DDR3 1600 (overclocked)/E51 = up to DDR3 1333
E65 = 6 audio ports + SPDIF/E51 = 6 audio ports
E65 = sideport memory/E51 = none
E65 = firewire/E51 = none

It also appears that the E65 has additional cooling on the power VRM's meaning it should handle overclocks a bit better.

Good ol' MSI.com

***EDIT: The more and more I look at the E65 the more and more it looks like an upgrade option. I may end up downsizing my Tempest but that's a hot little board. Very cool and it may very well be my ticket into SFF computing.

Re: Difference between MSI mb E-51 & E-65

Thanks guys! I went ahead & bit the bullet and went with the 51 side port is not an issue since I will be using a discreet video card maybe an ati 5770? (the 51 was part of the special...that board and 435 x3 cpu.) With operating system may be able to build for around $350 - excluding the video card...

Very nice. That rig should perform pretty well and that's a pretty sweet deal if the $350 includes your OS. A 5770 would go well with that setup and give you a great little gaming rig.

my guess would be that if it has a > number then it would produce more power while being more nergy efficient thus allowing longer playing time while reducing emissions among probably many other ideas put into use.
