GFX card for friend

I thought I'd best get others' opinions on this because I'm not great with lower-priced GFX cards...

A friend of mine is after a new graphics card for his PC. He's looking for about £60-80 to spend and wants it (for now) to play Left 4 Dead. DX10 (not alone 11) isn't a concern at the moment as long as it's cheap and powerful.

Personally, I generally just go for Sapphire as they're my favourite choice of ATI manufacturer and I have a Crossfire motherboard; I find a price I can accept and save for it. So, I'd appreciate it if a manufacturer can be recommended for bang for buck.
I buy all my stuff from ebuyer or Microdirect.

Maybe you should consider to buy new Sapphire 5670, not bad card for your need.

ati 4670 is a cheap alternative. one of the forum posters on another forum i regularly visit get's AVG B rating 30fps+ on all area with RE5. CPU he's using is Core i3. if he's concerned with dx11, 5670 is a good choice

5650/5670

although i'd highly recommend the 5770

but really it depends on what resolution your running... 5650 will push 1600x1200/1280x1024/1680x1050 just fine
