They arrived today as an almost RMA for a long story that took place a couple of years ago.

It's too soon and it would be unfair to judge how they sound with less than a day of using them, so I won't. I will use them for days or weeks before I say anything in detail. I use an AKG 271S for a long time now and it would be unfair for the Razer product to judge them with them so soon. (time to burn in etc)

I don't use the mic, so all I can say about that is I completely forget I have it on them, which is a good thing.

They look well manufactured so far, although I never liked in line volume controls since they are usually among the first to get damaged or just go wrong. I have it on max and setting volume from within windows just to be safe (and it is easier for me).

They are, without a doubt, the most comfortable headphones I have ever used (Not counting the AKG K-1000 which is almost a different type of product). Very light, very small contact with my ears. I wear them now for about 3 hours straight, no problem with comfort. The only thing that I am a bit worried is how warm my ears feel. Considering it is just above 21C in here and it is still Winter, I am worried about how hot they will get during the Summer. Yes, I will have AC on, but even then the temp will be several degrees higher.
Well, for now I will just enjoy their comfort and worry about it when the time comes.

Two months down.
First the negative points.
I find the inline volume control very annoying/in my way. I don't use it, I set it once at near the max and control the volume through Windows as I used to do. The reason I find it annoying is because of the weight (though light, heavy compared to not having it) it constantly drags the cable down or just gets in the way.

Subjective, I know, but, the sound quality is simply not nearly as good from my previous set of AKG-271S. Not even close.


Positive points.
The sound quality is not bad, it is quite good for the price range.
The cable feels like it is going to hold for a long time. The overall construction of the pair is good or at least feels good.
It is by far, by FAR, the most comfortable paid of headphones I have ever used. It just destroys the competition in this. It is beyond comfortable, it actually feels better to have them on than off and I know how crazy that sounds.
Whoever designed the pair for comfort, should get an award or a bonus. I am not joking.

I haven't used the microphone yet.


As long as you are not very demanding for sound quality or used to expensive headphones (double the price point +),it is a good pair of gaming headphones. Well worth the price asked for, and if found on sale, you just can't go wrong with them.
Even at full price it is a good product and I recommend it.
If not compared with more expensive products, I give this pair a 3.8/5 stars. 0.2 points off for the volume control obstacle. If you like the idea of it, then 4/5.
