Will this LCD Monitor work ?

Will this LCD Monitor work ?
P4 2.4 GHZ
2 gig pc 2700 ram
Antec 480W P.S.
EVGA Nividia 6200 256mb
XP Home edition SP3

At present i am still running the old AGP rig above and will be upgrading in the possible near future.

In the interim my Gateway FPD 1830 4:3 monitor has gone bad order and i need to purchase a new display.

My question is will the below Asus LCD monitor work with my present AGP rig using the GeForce 6200 256mb video card ?

The suggested resolution is 1920x1080. If i use the DVI cable and install the latest WHQL nividia drivers will i be able to fill this 24" LCD monitor for normal PC usage viewing? [Presently running the nividia 175.16 drivers]

I do not do any gaming or watching movies on the PC monitor but figured i would purchase a nice monitor now that can be used with a future PC upgrade.

I do not know what all supported resolutions the 6200 video card supports.

If the 6200 video card using the DVI cable supports a resolution of 1920 x 1200 what will this look like on the above Asus LCD monitor that suggests using a resolution of 1920x1080 ?

Thanks very much for your reply !

Just wanted to make sure since it might be 6 months before i upgrade the whole PC and did not want o be viewing distorted images and fuzzy text using this old AGP rig !

I've installed widescreen monitors up to 1920x1080 and 2048x1152 on old gpu's even the geforce 5200 and ATI Radeon 9500 series..

make sure your drivers are up to date and things will be smooth as silk with the transition.

Thats good to hear and if i do encounter any problems with the 6200 card i do still have a near brand new ATI 850 Pro i could stick in the old rig. If i remember the ATI might be a little faster then the 6200.
