Help me chose memory
I'm tired of the Crucial memory I have now, they don't perform as well as I'd want to.
So, I need to get some new ones but it's so difficult to chose and know for sure what will work or not. This is a list of what's more or less avaliable for me to buy. DDR3-minnen - Hitta de bästa priserna, information och omdömen I know it's in swedish but you can see what types there are. Want as low latency as possible. Does it matter if the memory is geared towards intel cpu's or AMD's? That's the main reason for not getting any already since the AMD specific ones seems to be out of stock everywhere. |

Re: Help me chose memory
look at Patriot Memory...... they have recently impressed me with ease of use and their speeds.
Corsair.. i don't know what the hell is wrong with them, but EVERY time i get a set of corsair ram, they appear to work, but not properly AT ALL and oventually fail... (worse then OCZ)

Re: Help me chose memory
Choises have been limited, Patriot is just not avaliable, neither is mushkin and there's only a few G.skill avaliable.
So, I ended up with corsair in the end to replace the crucials. |

Re: Help me chose memory
I like my G.Skill ECO's.
The 1600mhz kit runs at 7-8-7-20-2T out of the box but can run at 1T easily with only 1.35v. I have had them running at that frequency with 6-7-7-24-1T with 1.55v over the weekend and also had them running at 1820mhz with 9-9-9-20-2T timings using 1.5v. If the Crucial sticks turn out to be a bust you may want to look at these. If the ECO's aren't available there are others running Ripjaws at nearly what I am running mine but with more voltage in some cases. |

Re: Help me chose memory
The crucials will go into the HTPC I'm about to build so they're not wasted. I hope the Corsair Dominator GT's I ordered will do a better job.

Re: Help me chose memory
The Dominator GT modules, or at least ours, are awesome. Great Sticks.
I took the 1866MHz 7-8-7-20-2T @ 1.65v modules up to 2102MHz with 1.77v at 7-7-6-20-1T with their ICE T30 cooler... and the limit there was the CPU/platform and not the memory ![]() http://www.hardwareheaven.com/review...d=771&pageid=5 |
